Omkareshwar
A temple town on Mandhata island in the Narmada river, in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh, with a Jyotirlinga temple. The island is said to be shaped like the sign Om. It is about 140 km from Ujjain by road (sources say 135 to 150 km).

All of us in one auto
26 January 2026, Republic Day, on the road to Omkareshwar.
We came on a long weekend and there was so much crowd, in Ujjain and again at Omkareshwar. The crowd at Omkareshwar was so heavy that all of us had to sit inside one single auto.
